#180 in Northern Virginia
on: September 20, 2021, 02:56:19 PM
Read a post online about the price reductions on new bikes and promptly bought a pristine used example at local dealership for $12,250. 1200 easy miles on it. Tires look like the rider was deathly afraid of corners.  :008:

It had been in shop since April and hadn't moved, nor had it's full priced new counterpart. They dropped the price on both and and when I went in to pick up the used bike after prep the new bike had a sold sign on it as well. That's that for this area now. I think the values will hold better once all are sold.

Sweet! You picked up the one at MOD? That was the bike that convinced me I must get a Daytona. Are you familiar w/Bikes and Breakfast in Clifton? You're in good company.

Yes I been down there a few times with some late 80's Hondas we have. I always forget which Sunday it is on though. Did you buy a 765 from MOD as well? #71 was there with a sold sign on it last I was in. I have an appointment next Tuesday to get the ECU flashed. Mine has stalled 3 times already.

Picked mine up in Cleveland and rode it back. I wanted to buy the one in VA, but MOD couldn't match the price (including the one-way flight to pick it up).

B&B is the second Sunday of the month, but October will be the 3rd Sunday since Clifton Day is 3/10.
