Oil Quantity required differs from Manual
on: August 07, 2020, 12:31:07 AM
Any observations on the quantity of oil required when changing oil and filter?
Manual specifies 2.8L for oil change only and 3L for oil and filter.

3L only just hit the bottom of the dipstick.
Nowhere near the top mark as specified in the manual when I changed the filter and oil.
Another 1/4 Litre and it's halfway up the dipstick.

Have followed the correct procedure of warming up at idle for 5 minutes and waiting 3 minutes before checking.

Hey bud.
Remember to fill your oil filter before installing. Yes some will spill out while screwing it in place.
Then with the 4 litre jug you should put almost all of it in. Leave about 200 mil and start and check on level ground. Should be perfect or very close to it.  Thatís my routine for all 4 Daytonaís I race and ride on the street.

Have a grt night. Cheers.
