I definitely want to improve the sound of my Daytona. In fact, I find it difficult to ride at times due to how quiet it is. However, I feel the fairing looks a little unfinished with the removal of the original exhaust cover. I take it it's not possible to refit this piece with the link pipe?

Cheers!

So if you take it to an exhaust shop who specializes in this kind of thing, they can fabricate and weld you brackets for mounting the under fairing pieces. Otherwise no it doesn't fit.

Thanks for the replies.

Is there any chance one of you could do me a massive favour? Could you offer up the original cover to the new link pipe and take a picture? Just so I can get an idea of how it might look. It would be greatly appreciated!

It would literally look the same as stock, because it would completely cover the link pipe

I am thinking of fabricating a partial cover. I could cut the back portion
of the stock cover off; but want to preserve that.

The cat is not much to look at and the cover acts as a heat shield
for the fairing that is next to it. I am a bit concerned that the fairing might get
a little cooked.

The front mounting point for the cover remains. A bracket could be
made and piggybacked on the lower fairing bracket....angled back and down.

The link pipe opens up the view of the shock and linkage and that
is actually more important to me than the sound change.

Also looking into a Db killer or inlet baffle for the pipe. Love the sound; but
a little too loud for the city. There is a lot of echoing in the brick and glass
canyons. I donít want to be on non riders hate list along with open pipe
HDs and slingshots with 1000 watt sound systems.

People worry to much about the DB. .  :015:
Load pipes save lives and you and everyone as a rider know you can keep it quite when you want to.

As for the Faring. Itís carbon fibre. Itís not going to melt. Mine hasnít and think of the amount of heat I produce racing the 765 and the faring is a mix fibreglass gorilla tape and bondo.

Just sent out two more link pipes.
I have 1 left from this batch and I wonít have time till after my last race wknd wick is next wknd.

So I you would like one then please PM so I can add you to the list.

Thank you again to all who have supported RastaRacing146 and for all of you that cheer us on quietly.

Good morning 765 world getting ready for rd 6 the last one of the season.
38 points down in second place but the wknd is looking wet and cold. My race is at the end of the day on Sunday so lots can happen throughout the wknd and race day. I never give up.
Its win it or bin it at least Iíll have more race wins then my rival if he does take the championship.

Tire selection has been made.
Most likely Iíll be use the R11 set because they will keep the heat as the slick will lose heat and become unpredictable. Any temp under 15 c and slicks are hard to use to there potential.

Rollie agreed.

I would like to thank all of you that posted pics of there 765 with the link pipe. Looks awesome and sounds even better.
Have to go and start packing. I head out tomorrow.
Take all and stay healthy and thank you to all who support RastaRacing146 and those who cheer quietly as well.

Big RastaRacing146 Cheers !!!!  :821:
