Nigel, have you seen the recall for the new fire blade rr, con rod issue... :156:

Don't know why you'd put this in our friend Rasta's thread, but thanks for the tip off. :002:

Yes, I heard about it under good authority back in mid-March I think it was. I was dead against believing it at first, because you might recall there was a week of extensive Press release and testing in Qatar in January - with no reported issues. However, it transpires that a 'couple' have blown rods under dyno testing. I have no info as to whether this was under Honda's roof or from race teams.

Honda UK and dealers have been very tight-lipped about this. My dealer, as long as 3 weeks ago, denied any knowledge of the issue. I have had extensive communication with apparent no-hopers at Honda UK about delivery. They are using the throw away line that it's all due to Covid-19. Bikes were originally due for release at end of March and Honda UK earlier confirmed that bikes were in Swindon at the time. Since then, there has been an aberration of lies, deceit, and fob-offs from Honda UK, resulting in my sending hard copy mail, including 10 copies of Honda UK's misleading emails, to Honda Japan.

Feathers have flown since, resulting in a bevy of patronising apologies from both dealer and Honda UK (alleged) customer service.  No word on the con rod issue though, and it is a topic I will canvas with total scrutiny when the bike arrives at the dealer very shortly. I will not accept - and nor should any purchaser - a 'reconditioned' bike, whether it be a CBR1000 RR-R or a C125 Super Cub.

If you ever thought I was negative toward Triumph, well then you haven't heard me fully wound up!! :008: :800: :134:

Later in the summer I do hope to get my 765 on track, in standard road specification may be on a "Road Bike Only" trackday just to see how it goes,  :028:

Thanks  Jay765. Hope you are getting out lots on yours.
I love sharing all I can about the 765 and what I do to it.
Ya not sure about the Honda post ?
As for the click bate face book post.
Please donít use  this thread for that.
This tread is all about the 765 And not about links to other sites.

Thanks to all who read it and post there thoughts about the bike we all share the same love for.
Been riding the trails and kayaking the few days camping. Nice break from the track and city.  :158:

Not sure what you mean by that, but to me it was a clear case of forum camaraderie alerting a fellow member to a recognised problem with a bike he knew I was buying. Sure, if we're strictly formal, it could have been done in a separate thread or even a PM, but again, if we're strictly formal, this forum would not have the free-flowing interchange of knowledge, advice, and friendship that we've come to enjoy.

Precisely. Merely as an observation, I don't know why (other than for reward or gratitude) one would wish to show off their bike via an offsite link rather than post on here as we have all done. I am confused that we are asked to share the joy of this member's bike when he would not reciprocate the joy of sharing by my and others numerous requests for information originally posted about the now infamous link pipe: https://www.daytona765.com/index.php/topic,67.0.html

During the course of this forum, we have witnessed many 'simple mistakes' of information given to members by both Triumph UK and its dealers. Many of these mistakes have been contradictory to Triumph's own Owners Handbook information. So, when another motorcycle dealership or workshop makes a statement of '765 bikes worldwide' it is bound to catch the attention of any Triumph enthusiast and perhaps cause concern that even those in the industry do not care enough for, or have enough interest in this bike to know of the well-publicised distribution of 765 for USA/Canada, and 765 for UK/Euro/Rest of World.

And for Mr Rasta, I hope your camping and outdoor activities days have been joyful and prepped you for your next track days. :028:
