Congrats, and good to know!!

What are the clear plastic tubes. :084:

One I assume is coolant overflow to bottle, but what's the open-ended one directly in front of the ignition switch?

Good eye.
Thatís exactly what it is.
Running water on the track and Iím not worried about it freezing now that spring is here and I have a fully temp controlled shop.
Why the tube because of my bike is boiling over into the first catch can then the tube will be set to a second smaller catch can up front once I have fitted the race faring. Iíll be able to shut it down before the idiot lite comes on because we all now when that lites  up itís to late.
Old school racing on how to protect your motor.
Hope you have gotten out lots now that your Q has been lifted a bit
Cheers !!

So are you only doing 250 miles as a running in?
I'm assuming your speedo is in Kilometres.

Hope you all have a grt day Cheers !!   You too RastaRacing  :028:

I will run mine in mostly as the manual says not the tank sticker.
Probably not over 6k for the first hundred, then 8k , for the next 150, then 9k until service (3/4) maximum revs . Triumph say that is ok as I am an experienced rider  :745:

Stop it...  :182:    :038:

The running in is for the bike as a whole. It's fine running the motor but what about putting miles on the gearbox etc..

Correct my break is done.
Iíve broken in many Pro built motors by the best Canadian and American builders and heat cycles at idle x5 and then start to stress the motor and cool and repeat. I posted at the beginning of this thread how I was going to do it an have always done it.

Hope you all get out this wknd as the weather here is going to ba amazing.
Big Cheers to everyone that can red line there bike now. !!!

So red is all you saw then and yet your bike is still here in one piece. Amazing. The whole slow break in from the factory is just to make sure you get your heat cycles.
Whats to say you donít do 1000 k the first day. 1 Long heat cycle. Very bad for the motor.
So many ways so many reasons and so many thoughts.
Thatís all I have to say on this topic anymore.
Cheers. !

^^^

Yep will always be a variety of opinions on what might seem 'contentious' subjects.
